As you may or may not know, as you age your bones become thinner and their density decreases. This can make you more susceptible to injury. There are numerous things that you can do to slow down this process, such as with a proper diet and exercise. Eating calcium-rich foods, such as dairy products, leafy vegetables, fish with bones, and legumes, can help. Exercises that are load or weight bearing, such as walking, jogging, elliptical machines, and dancing, also can aid in building bone density. Be sure to consult your doctor first before beginning any exercise programs!
