Boredom signals a child’s need for physical and/or mental activity to keep them occupied, and to release some energy. When children are bored, they are more likely to participate in negative behaviours, because they are not feeling physically or emotionally challenged. Luckily, there are many activities available in our city that children can partake in to release their energy and learn new components and skills. These include outdoor pools, parks and splash pads, community centres, and children’s entertainment centres. Attending summer camp or going to children-friendly museums can also help keep your child entertained throughout the summer.
