The mystery that surrounds Lupus is large, with many unknowns. It is a chronic autoimmune disease, causing inflammation in various parts of the body. It can range from mild to a serious, life-threatening illness, and yet Lupus organizations receive zero funding from the government and very little corporate support. Ninety-percent of patients are women, and no two cases are the same. Symptoms can include: a face rash, alopecia, depression, mouth sores and chest pain. If you have Lupus – you are not alone. Reach out to your doctor and those close to you. Relaxation exercises like visualization and meditation can ease some symptoms. Rest often and learn to listen to your body.
