As an amputee, you will have to learn how to successfully use a prosthesis, and, yes, it requires work on your part. Many reasons could result in your residual limb not fitting into the prosthetic socket the same way each day or even throughout the day. Being sensitive to what/how you are feeling in the socket and learn what you can do to effect positive changes in your socket fit/comfort is important. Knowing when adding or removing full-length or partial-length prosthetic socks or removing and re-donning a liner a different way is the key. Don’t get frustrated, we’re here to help.
