Some ways you can help to prevent cognitive decline include: 1) Keep your fuel stable – Avoid sugary, high carb foods to minimize glucose spikes, which tax your system greatly. 2) Exercise regularly – Some exercise is better than none, especially as we age. 3) Get enough sleep – Most of the cleaning and repairing functions in the brain occur during sleep. There can be severe consequences when we try to skimp on that essential self-care step!
