A New Perspective?

Spirituality is a broad concept. It includes a sense of connection to something bigger than ourselves, and it typically involves a search for life’s purpose. Not everyone belongs to a religion. Many people are not in any way religious. But everyone is spiritual because at our core, we are spiritual beings. Crime statistics show that not all of us have come into contact with this higher aspect of ourselves, but that does not mean it’s not there. The spirituality of humankind is a universal experience. It’s our common denominator. Consider that your life’s purpose is to discover your own connection.

‘Tis the Time for Loving

In life, much is out of our control, but how we treat ourselves and others is always up to us! When we take care of our own needs and listen to our inner voice, we are more able to give to others from a clear and loving place. When we treat ourselves with kindness and compassion, we are able to treat others that way, too. Most of us really want to please others and be liked, sometimes at the deprivation of our self. What will it take to tap into the courage to fully show up and embody loving ourselves deeply each and every day, embracing our human imperfection and divine perfection?

Burnout Relief

When life’s stresses have us burning the candle at both ends, quite often burnout has us looking for a way out, looking for something better… anything to get us out of the hopelessness and emptiness that entraps us. Instead of choosing an expensive leave of absence, a recent client opting for Brainwave Optimization declared: “I like this better because it allows me some integrated burnout relief that supports me in the here and now, helping my brain function better so I make better choices right in the midst of the emotional and physical exhaustion. All I need sometimes is to get away from it all – this does it!” La Loba, LaLobaTraumaRelease.com

“I joined Camelot Introductions and found the love of my life! If it wasn’t for Lianne’s persistence, and her innate ability for matching people, then I would still be floundering. Get a Better Sleep with Ganban-Yoku

For most people who are suffering from insomnia, the sympathetic nervous system is overly active when the body is trying to fall asleep at night – making it hard to fall asleep or resulting in poor sleep. Ganban-yoku (Japanese thermal therapy) can help improve quality of sleep by tuning the nervous system. The deep, gentle warmth during the session, uniquely keeps the body in the active state while relaxing the mind. This equally engages both sympathetic nervous system and parasympathetic nervous system instead of one of the two overly being active for over one hour. Having the nervous system function at this sweet spot for a prolonged time helps to ease the symptoms of insomnia. Some users were able to achieve good quality sleep for up to five days post session. Get More From New Year’s Resolutions

If you’re planning to adopt a healthier lifestyle this year, know that no matter what type of stress-handling techniques you use, how well you eat, or how much exercise and sleep you get, to achieve your goals and get the most out of your efforts, your body must be functioning optimally. You could be eating healthy and exercising, but if your thyroid, adrenals, or digestive system are not working efficiently, you are not going to burn calories or build muscle. Options like specialized nutritional testing, biofeedback, and digital pulsewave analysis can help you get the information you need. Centre for Alternative Healing, AltHealing.ca

Communication Tips for Dementia

1. Set a positive mood. Use warm facial expressions and tone of voice to help convey your message and show your feelings of affection.
2. Listen with your ears, eyes, and heart. Be patient in waiting for your loved one’s reply. Watch for nonverbal cues and respond appropriately.
3. Remember the good ol’ days. Reminiscing is a soothing activity. Many people with dementia may not remember what happened 30 minutes ago, but they can clearly recall their lives 30 years earlier.
4. Laugh a little or a lot! Use humour whenever possible. People with dementia tend to retain their social skills and are usually delighted to laugh along with you.

Set Intentions, Fulfill Your Dreams

People set intentions on all kinds of dreams. When you set an intention and then act on it to demonstrate your commitment, amazing things occur. Intention can also give us fortitude for dealing with tough times. I am currently rebuilding my home. I simply wanted to add on a new bathroom, but with all the surprises an old house can offer, every turn has been a shock, sometimes even a nightmare. My intention is to live through this process with dignity and grace. I am tested daily. It’s often not easy, but this intention has helped me maintain composure, sanity, and on a good day, a sense of humour.

Loss of Libido

There are two widely believed myths about libido. First, loss of libido comes mainly from the degeneration of sex hormonal function. Second, loss of libido results in loss of stamina. Failure to demystify these myths means that many people waste their money on aphrodisiacs to revitalize themselves. Loss of libido is often a sign of adrenal degeneration or a circulatory problem. Solving adrenal problems frequently leads to the revitalization of stamina and libido at the same time. If you are worried about your low libido problem, or your spouse’s, you should seek the revitalization of adrenal glands, not sex hormonal function, first.
