Being ME in a Relationship

Love is complicated sometimes. From a neural perspective, the prefrontal cortex can be what is keeping our attention and decision-making in a type of tunnel vision. Our amygdala can have us caught between the excitement of this adventure called love and the fear of losing it all with the wrong comment or gesture. Cortisol May Be Destroying Your Life

If you have difficulty falling asleep before midnight, even when you feel very tired, or if you often feel like your sleep quality is poor, regardless of how long you sleep, it is likely that excessive nocturnal cortisol is interfering with your slumber. Cortisol, a kind of stress hormone, impairs brain cells’ utilization of glucose, the main fuel for the cells. When the brain’s fuel supply is interrupted by high cortisol levels, impairment of learning, memory, and mood can result. What’s more, this reduction in energy supply to brain cells weakens them, which may cause or aggravate dementia, and deteriorates the hunger centre in your brain, which can make you eat more than necessary.

Serrapeptase, the Little Miracle Enzyme!

Serrapeptase has been proven to be a safe and effective alternative to NSAIDs (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen) and should be taken on an empty stomach. The capsule must be a special DRcap (Delayed Release capsule) which allows the Serrapeptase to pass through the stomach to the small intestine, where the enzyme is then released. Serrapeptase is an enzyme that breaks down long protein chains into amino acids that the body needs. These enzymes roam through the bloodstream, seeking to break down hard protein (non-living tissue), fibrin surfaces, scar tissue, and granuloma, and even thin out mucous to ease conditions such as chronic sinusitis.

Osteoporosis is a skeletal disorder characterized by weakened bones with an increased risk of fracture. In Canada, 1 in 3 women and 1 in 5 men will suffer an osteoporotic fracture in their lifetime. Osteoporotic fragility fractures are more common than heart attacks, stroke, and breast cancer combined. Medication, nutrition/diet, and exercise are forms of treatment. Physiotherapy is focused on specific exercise, which includes resistance training, balance training, aerobic exercise, and spine sparing strategies. All of these exercises are geared towards preventing falls and fractures, and maintaining strong bone health. Clean Eating Basics

My name is Petra Rapmund and my clean eating journey started when I attended a seminar a few years back. However, I struggled with how to implement my newfound knowledge. Back then I had a young family and zero time for clean eating food prep. I remember buying all these veggies, washing them and storing them in my fridge only to throw them away because they spoilt. Flash forward to today; a big part of my life is teaching others the basics of clean eating. Helping others change their perspectives about food so they can live healthier lives for themselves and their families. Are you ready to make the switch to a healthier life?

A New Perspective?

Spirituality is a broad concept. It includes a sense of connection to something bigger than ourselves, and it typically involves a search for life’s purpose. Not everyone belongs to a religion. Many people are not in any way religious. But everyone is spiritual because at our core, we are spiritual beings. Crime statistics show that not all of us have come into contact with this higher aspect of ourselves, but that does not mean it’s not there. The spirituality of humankind is a universal experience. It’s our common denominator. Consider that your life’s purpose is to discover your own connection.

In life, much is out of our control, but how we treat ourselves and others is always up to us! When we take care of our own needs and listen to our inner voice, we are more able to give to others from a clear and loving place. When we treat ourselves with kindness and compassion, we are able to treat others that way, too. Most of us really want to please others and be liked, sometimes at the deprivation of our self. What will it take to tap into the courage to fully show up and embody loving ourselves deeply each and every day, embracing our human imperfection and divine perfection?
