Because home care covers such a broad variety of services, there is not just one condition that makes someone a good fit for in-home care. Home care aides can be hired to assist a client with any of their needs, whether that be getting transportation to appointments, or grocery shopping and cooking meals. You may be a good candidate for in-home care if you’re in need of any of the following: Assistance with daily tasks, housekeeping, mobility assistance, medication management, short-term care (if you’re recovering from an illness or surgery and need extra assistance), or even companionship if you’re living alone and struggling with feeling isolated.

Caring for Your Dentures
Dentures need daily care to keep them clean and in their best shape. When cleaning your dentures, be gentle to ensure you don’t break them. Try placing a towel in the sink or filling it with water to protect them from the hard surface. Soak your dentures and then brush them with a soft-bristled brush and a non-abrasive denture cleanser (toothpaste is not recommended). Place your dentures in water or a mild denture-soaking solution overnight, and then rinse them thoroughly in the morning before using them. These steps will help to keep your dentures looking and feeling great!

Acupuncture for Menopause Symptoms
Menopause can cause a number of uncomfortable emotional and physical symptoms, including hot flashes, sleep disturbances, and mood changes. Some women may not want to or can’t use hormone replacement therapy, which is a common treatment for menopause symptoms. Recent studies in both Denmark and the United States suggest that acupuncture may help with symptoms of menopause. Women who received acupuncture sessions during the studies reported less severe and less frequent day and night sweats, general sweating, sleep problems, emotional and physical symptoms, and skin and hair problems compared to women who did not have acupuncture sessions during the studies.
