Empowering Families, Building Resilience: Moose Jaw Family Services Inc.
In the ever-changing landscape of life, we at Moose Jaw Family Services Inc. stand steadfast in our commitment to support you through every challenge that comes your way. Our mission is simple yet profound: to empower and strengthen individuals and families in our community. We achieve this by offering a wide range of strength-based and client-centered programs, services, and support groups designed to help you build resiliency, develop essential skills, and gain the confidence needed to make positive changes in your lives.
Our Programs: Family Support & Diversion: Life as a parent can be incredibly rewarding, but it also presents its fair share of challenges. Our Family Support & Diversion programs offer in-home support that caters to families facing parenting difficulties. These programs are goal-oriented, focusing on areas such as enhancing parenting skills, navigating the tumultuous teenage years, fostering healthy relationships within the family, addressing lifestyle needs, and developing effective problem-solving strategies. We’re here to support you through these challenges, providing you with the tools and support you need to thrive.
Young Parent Program: Becoming a parent at a young age can be daunting, but you don’t have to go through it alone. Our Young Parent Program is a nurturing space for young moms and dads, offering both education and emotional support to help you cultivate healthy parent-child relationships. With weekly topics, meals, and childcare provided, this program aims to empower young parents to overcome obstacles and build brighter futures for themselves and their children.
Living Independent Skills: Transitioning to independent living can be overwhelming for young adults. Our Living Independent Skills program is designed to prepare young people for the challenges of living on their own. We cover essential topics like renting, opening a bank account, nutrition and health, budgeting, and more. We also tailor our discussions to address specific interests and needs expressed by the group, ensuring that you’re equipped with the knowledge and skills to thrive in the world on your terms.
Counselling: Life’s journey is filled with ups and downs, and sometimes we need a helping hand to navigate the rough patches. Our affordable counselling services cover a wide range of issues, including marital problems, parent-child conflicts, separation and divorce, loss and grief, depression, and stress management. We provide a safe and supportive space for you to explore your emotions, develop coping strategies, and work towards healing and personal growth.
Rapid Access Counselling: When you need immediate support, our Rapid Access Counselling is here for you. This short-term and solution-focused counseling is available at no cost and can be accessed in Gravelbourg, Assiniboia, Moose Jaw, or through virtual appointments.
Education and Support Groups: We believe in the power of community and shared experiences. That’s why we offer a variety of education and support groups throughout the year, including Active Parenting, Nobody’s Perfect, Dad’s Group, and Mom’s Group. These groups provide a platform for learning, sharing, and connecting with others who understand your journey.

At Moose Jaw Family Services Inc., we are more than just an organization; we are a community of caring individuals dedicated to your well-being. We invite you to reach out and explore the resources and support we offer. Together, we can face life’s challenges, celebrate its joys, and build stronger, more resilient families.

Laughter is the Best Medicine

I feel as if my body has gotten totally out of shape, so I got my doctor’s permission to join a fitness club and start exercising. I decided to take an aerobics class for seniors. I bent, twisted, gyrated, jumped up and down, and perspired for an hour. But, by the time I got my pants on, the class was

Disability Tax Credit Eligibility

The Disability Tax Credit (DTC) eligibility hinges on three primary impairment categories, each with its own criteria: Physical Impairments. Mental Illness and Psychological Impairments. Neurological Impairments. Simply having a certified medical condition within these categories doesn’t guarantee DTC eligibility. Exercise: Hair’s Vital Growth Booster

Embracing a dynamic lifestyle not only invigorates your body but also cultivates a lush crown of healthy hair. Regular exercise acts as a catalyst for robust hair maintenance and growth. As you engage in physical activity, blood circulation surges, ensuring a steady supply of essential nutrients and oxygen to hair follicles. This nourishment fortifies roots, promoting resilience and vitality. Additionally, exercise balances hormone levels, which directly impact hair health. So, whether you’re sweating it out in the gym or enjoying a revitalizing jog, every movement contributes to the foundation of radiant and strong hair. Make exercise a cornerstone of your routine for a vibrant mane that shines with health.

Better Mobility, Increased Independence

If you or a senior loved one are experiencing shortness of breath when walking short distances, having difficulty bearing weight on the legs, needing to rest frequently when walking, noticing trouble with balance, or having difficulty walking up a short flight of stairs, it might be time to consider a walker. Don’t wait until something drastic has happened to experience the benefits of using a walker!

With most of the population suffering from a leaky gut and associated symptoms, why not balance your microbiome and take action on your own unique genetic markers? Emerging scientific research shows how environmental influences can affect the expression of our genes. Further discoveries point to the fact that some of our genes can be turned on or off primarily based on nutritional supplementation. You are one-of-a kind, so your supplements should also be as unique. NucleoGenex is the only company able to formulate a precision nutritional supplement to a microgram dose for you, based off your own genetic markers.
