Keeping Anxiety in Check

A new year means we can reset and look at aspects of our lives that we might want to focus on or change. Here are some New Year’s resolutions for getting better control of your anxiety: 1) Unplug – give yourself regular breaks from technology. 2) Reach out – talk to people who make you feel good. 3) Move – create a realistic exercise plan. 4) Eat well – consume a healthy diet and drink plenty of water. 5) Know your body – pay attention to your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. 6) Consider other solutions – homeopathy offers some very helpful options for anxiety.

Smoking Affects Your Hearing

Did you make any New Year’s resolutions? If you are a smoker, you can now add increased risk of hearing loss to the list of reasons to quit. The chemicals found in cigarettes may affect the way your ear processes sound. In fact, smokers have been found to be 15% more likely to have hearing loss than non-smokers. Hearing loss isn’t fatal, but it can lead to a number of health-related issues down the line. Dementia & depression have been linked to untreated hearing loss, so be sure to have your ears checked regularly. Get started by scheduling a hearing test today.
