Relieve Anxiety with Reflexology
Reflexology is a therapy used to relieve tension and promote wellness. In Reflexology, reflex points on the feet, hands, and head are stimulated by acupressure which in turn reflex to corresponding parts of the body thereby helping to restore its natural energy flow. It also, promotes homeostasis, which is the balancing of a person’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being. One of the most common benefits of reflexology therapy is a reduction of stress and anxiety because the hormonal glandular reflex points are activated via acupressure. Additionally, it can help to increase blood flow to the extremities, decrease blood pressure and slow down the heart rate. Reflexology therapy is relaxing and feels soothing and is a natural treatment enhancing well-being in a multifaceted way.
Get Mobile!
Do more of what you want – when you want. If you ever find yourself waiting around for people to assist you with daily tasks and errands, a mobility scooter could allow you to take matters into your own hands. Confinement can be the most depressing situation that individuals can experience. Nobody wants to stay inside for a long time, especially when it is not necessary. Battery powered scooters have come a long way and are now more affordable than ever. They provide the freedom to get around, they conserve physical energy, and they also provide you access to places you may not have previously been able to go.
Equanimity for Mental Health
When we face discomfort or don’t like something (including aspects of our selves like the shape of our body, a particular trait, or habit) our natural tendency is to get down on ourselves. What if instead of wanting and wishing for it to be different, we simply acknowledge it for what it is and let it be? Noticing a feeling and letting it be allows it to pass without the need for distracting, numbing or compensating behaviours that sabotage our efforts for mental and physical health. Equanimity is not the same as giving up. Equanimity is powerful and cathartic.
Laughter is the Best Medicine
My Doctor told me I should cut more carbs. So, I bought a new pizza knife.
Laughter is the Best Medicine
“Now, what are you planning to do about that excess weight you’re carrying around:” the doctor asked the patient. “I just can’t seem to lose it, the man said “Must be an overactive thyroid.” “The tests show your thyroid is perfectly normal,” the doctor said. “If anything is overactive, it’s your fork.”
EMF Autism Calming Protocol
Wireless and other EMF’s play a role in autism. A simple EMF reduction protocol can be implemented to see if it positively impacts your loved ones. For two weeks (10 hours a night) try the following: Turn off your Wi-Fi router at night. Keep all wireless devices out of the bedroom (phone, fitness devices, tablets, etc.). Unplug your cordless phone base station. Turn off wireless baby monitors. Lastly, turn off the circuit breakers to your bedroom. After two weeks, see if you notice a difference. You may be surprised at what it can do for your health and well-being.
Benefits of Lawn Irrigation
Dragging a hose out to the yard every time you want to water can be pain, and you may find that you can’t always reach all areas of your yard. A sprinkler system provides many benefits, including: 1) It looks much better than having a hose snaking across your yard. 2) An automated sprinkler system means you can water your lawn at the best time to ensure proper absorption. 3) You’ll save money on water bills. 4) You’ll help prevent weeds and diseases by watering at the roots. 5) Installing a sprinkler system will increase the value of your home.
Where Are You At Now?
The reality is, over the last year many lives have been devasted by loss of health (physical, mental or emotional) or loss of financial security, OR worse…loss of loved ones. On the otherhand, many have not only survived but thrived, taking challenges and turning them into OPPORTUNITIES. Which camp are you in? Perhaps you are familiar with what Henry Ford said many years ago, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t – you’re RIGHT.” So here’s to being like the little train who said, ‘I think I can, I think I can.” I for one, believe amazing things are about to happen!
