First Impressions

Putting your home on the market? A good first impression is a must when selling your home. Start with the outside: The front is primary, it is the curb appeal, its eye catching! A good roof suggests up to date maintenance but the simplest and most inexpensive is paint. Enhance the front door with a splash of paint, touch up window frames and decks for a brighter look. Freshen up your yard; trim grass and shrubs, remove dead branches, add some flowers. Check your night view; lights, timers and accents all add to the feeling of coziness and comfort. First impressions last.

Health Benefits of Purified Water

Reverse osmosis is a water purifying process that removes foreign substances, such as organic chemicals, chlorine, pesticides, and herbicides. The process forces water through specialized membranes, purifying the water and removing any unpleasant odor and taste. Reports by Medline Plus inform that patients with chronic illness benefit from reverse osmosis water during and after treatments.
This is due to the reduced levels of acidity; low acidity means that your body can process the water better and faster while also using less energy. Your body can then focus on keeping you healthy.

Are You a Highly Sensitive Person?

Have you ever heard anyone say that you are “too sensitive” or “too dramatic?” Highly sensitive people are often misunderstood. We are each born with a different level of sensitivity in how we take in the world through our senses. Highly sensitivity people can be easily overwhelmed by bright lights, strong smells, loud noises, or textures, but they also have an extremely rich inner life and are often very bright and creative. Sometimes adaptations and support are needed for coping in the world, but if you are highly sensitive, consider it a gift and an important part of what makes you unique!

Fall Prevention Tips

Falls in the home are all too common and making a few modifications in the home can prevent dangerous situations, such as slippery floors, poor lighting, loose rugs, electrical cords and clutter. Visit each room in your home. Then look at the space objectively and ask: Is this safe? Are there objects or items that present a falls risk? If so, think about the many ways to create a safer home: wear non slip socks or slippers, use night lights in dark hallways, remove throw rugs, keep electrical cords safely hidden behind furniture and organize your projects so they are off the floor and out of walkways.
