Developmental vision disorders interfere with the ability to function in our high-tech, educationally driven society by causing difficulty with reading, doing paperwork, paying attention, concentrating, and working on the computer. Sadly, 1 in 4 children have vision problems that interfere with their ability to learn, yet they do not report having visual difficulties. And many adults are amazed to discover how many of their signs and symptoms are actually due to a previously undiagnosed visual disorder. Unlike a regular eye exam, a developmental visual evaluation is required to determine if any learning-related visual dysfunctions are present.
