Food may taste different with dentures; however, your sense of taste should improve over time. When moving onto harder foods, cut your food into tiny pieces, this will help you control the bolus of food in your mouth. Chew slowly to avoid biting your cheeks or tongue. Try to chew on both sides at the same time; this will help keep your dentures more stable. Avoid tough (hard to chew) meats, instead eat poultry, fish, eggs, legumes, you can choose stewed or slow-cooked meats (which are softer). Perseverance is the key and keep your denturist updated if any problems occur.
