Preventing Digital Eye Strain

As we spend more and more time using computers and handheld devices, many of us are starting to notice that our eyes are suffering. Digital eyestrain includes headaches, blurred vision, irritation, excessive tearing or dry eyes. If you have even small, uncorrected nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, presbyopia or eye-muscle alignments, it can affect how comfortably you can work on a computer screen or device. Regular eye exams will detect any vision problems and provide corrective measures. For every 20 minutes of working on your computer or staring into your handheld, take a break for 20 seconds and look at something at least 20 feet away.
