Worrying is an understandable response to life stress – of course we want things to work out, so we can start thinking, planning, and directing our hopes and energies to our preferred outcome. We can try to solve or prevent a problem. But worrying can become an anxious habit of rehearsing terrible stories in our heads! Maybe it comes with bad sleep, poor concentration, being extra jumpy or watchful, or getting easily upset. Sometimes we can even have physical discomfort or even panic. Counselling can provide a safe place to work out different approaches, to feel heard, and to get a neutral perspective on things.
